Heather Delva - Coach

Heather was a diver in high school but decided not to pursue college diving. After diving, her main form of exercise was running. She always tried to lift weights but she never knew what to do and never saw any results. While living in Australia, she worked as a receptionist at a gym and she started taking HIT classes and loved the variety it added to her workouts. She finally felt like she was getting stronger and she loved the people she met through the class. When she moved back to the United States, her friend took her to a CrossFit class and she immediately fell in love. The Olympic lifting movements were completely foreign to her and she dreaded the days they had to snatch, but she loved feeling like she was getting stronger and learning new things every day.

After a few months, the owners approached her to intern as a coach for 6 months and then be a part of their coaching staff. She was thrilled! She love helping people (whether that is mentally or physically) and coaching really gave her that opportunity. Outside of the gym she really like to do anything active or anything in the mountains, but waterskiing and snowboarding are probably her favorite.
